Adaptasi Pendidik terhadap Era Digital melalui Pengembangan Keterampilan Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence dalam Pembelajaran

Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly transformed the
educational landscape and requires educators to continuously adapt to new
competencies. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as one of the important
technologies that can support teaching and learning processes through
personalized learning, content development, data analysis, and improving
educational efficiency. Therefore, educators need to develop skills in utilizing AI
appropriately to respond to the challenges of the digital era. This article aims to
analyze educator adaptation strategies in the digital era through the development
of skills in utilizing Artificial Intelligence in learning activities. The integration of
AI in education requires teachers to understand not only technical aspects but also
ethical, pedagogical, and responsible use of technology. UNESCO emphasizes
that teachers in the AI era need competencies related to AI foundations, AI
pedagogy, ethical principles, and professional development to ensure meaningful
technology implementation in education. This study uses a qualitative approach
with a literature review method by examining various scientific articles and
relevant publications related to AI utilization, digital competence, and teacher
professional development. The analysis focuses on the role of AI in supporting
instructional planning, learning media development, assessment processes, and
classroom management.The findings indicate that AI can help educators create
more innovative learning experiences, improve teaching efficiency, and support
differentiated learning according to students’ needs. However, effective AI
integration depends on educators’ digital literacy, critical thinking skills, and
ability to use AI ethically. Teachers are expected to position AI as a supporting
tool rather than a replacement for their professional role. The development of AI
utilization skills among educators requires continuous training, institutional
support, and digital competency improvement programs. Through proper
adaptation, educators can utilize AI to create more creative, adaptive, and
student-centered learning environments while maintaining the essential human
values in education.
