Kajian Islam terhadap Fenomena Artificial Intelligence (AI) di Dunia Pendidikan

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including education. AI presents various opportunities to improve the quality of learning through adaptive learning systems, personalized materials, automated evaluation, and easy access to knowledge sources. However, the development of AI also raises various issues related to ethics, responsibility, data privacy, and the role of humans in the educational process. From an Islamic perspective, technology is part of the results of human thought that must be utilized based on the principles of benefit, justice, and moral responsibility. This article aims to examine the phenomenon of the use of AI in education from an Islamic perspective, specifically regarding the benefits, challenges, and ethical values that must be applied. This research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach through an analysis of various relevant literature on AI, education, and Islamic studies. The results of the study indicate that AI can be a supporting instrument for education by assisting teachers and students in a more effective and innovative learning process. However, the use of AI needs to be controlled so as not to diminish the values of humanity, creativity, and the relationship between educators and students. From an Islamic perspective, the application of AI in education must be based on the principles of maqasid al-shariah, namely, safeguarding human welfare, honesty, justice, and trustworthiness. Therefore, AI is not a substitute for humans, but rather a tool that must be used wisely to support educational goals oriented toward the development of knowledge, morals, and civilization.
