The development of science and technology in the modern era
has brought significant changes to various aspects of human life,
including education, economy, social relations, and culture.
From an Islamic perspective, science and technology are not
only instruments for material progress but also a form of human
responsibility as stewards (khalifah) on earth. This article aims
to analyze the implementation of Islamic values in the
development of science and technology and its relevance to
human life. The research method used is a literature review
(library research) by examining various sources related to Islam,
science, and technology. The results of the study indicate that
Islamic values such as monotheism (tawhid), honesty,
responsibility, justice, and public benefit (maslahah) serve as
essential foundations in the process of developing science and
technology. Islam encourages humans to seek knowledge,
conduct research, and create innovations as long as they provide
benefits and do not violate ethical and moral principles. The
implementation of Islamic values in science and technology can
be realized through the development of technologies oriented
toward social welfare, environmental preservation, and
improving human quality of life. The integration of religious
values and technological advancement is an effort to create
balanced progress between intellectual, spiritual, and
humanitarian aspects. Therefore, science and technology based
on Islamic values are expected to produce a civilization that is
advanced, ethical, responsible, and beneficial for society.
