Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct political ethics and governance based on Qur'anic values in responding to modern political pathologies and contemporary issues. Using a qualitative method based on library research with a thematic interpretation approach (maudhu'i), this study dissects Qur'anic verses related to power (al-Mulk), the mandate of earth management (al-Khilafah), and the pillars of good governance. The results show that the Qur'an views politics as a moral instrument and eschatological prophetic responsibility, not merely a value-free art of achieving power. Good governance in the Qur'an is supported by four main pillars: al-Amanah (integrity and meritocracy), al-Shura (public participation), al-'Adalah (rule of law and distributive justice), and at-Tabayyun (information transparency). These concepts are highly relevant as ethical guidelines and theological solutions in addressing the crisis of legitimacy, corruption, and data manipulation in the digital era in order to realize public welfare (maslahah ammah).
