State defense awareness is an important aspect of maintaining national integrity
and sovereignty amid the rapid development of information technology. The digital
era presents both opportunities and challenges for young generations, particularly
university students, in understanding and implementing the values of state defense
in their daily lives. This study aims to analyze the level of state defense awareness
among students of the Educational Management Study Program in the digital era.
This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach, with data collected
through questionnaires distributed to 15 students of the Educational Management
Study Program. The research indicators included love for the homeland, national
and civic awareness, belief in Pancasila as the state ideology, willingness to
sacrifice for the nation and the state, and basic state defense capabilities. The
results showed that most students had a good level of state defense awareness,
accounting for 53.3%, while 26.7% were categorized as very good and 20.0% as
moderate. The indicator with the highest score was belief in Pancasila as the state
ideology (90%), while the lowest score was found in basic state defense capabilities
(80%). These findings indicate that Educational Management students generally
possess a good level of state defense awareness in the digital era. Therefore,
strengthening civic education, character education, and digital literacy is necessary
to further enhance students’ awareness of state defense.
