Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of facility and infrastructure maintenance at Lais State Senior High School 2 based on Ibrahim Bafadal’s theory of facility and infrastructure maintenance. This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the principal, the vice principal in charge of facilities and infrastructure, teachers, administrative staff, and janitors. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, while data validity was obtained through source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the maintenance of facilities and infrastructure at SMA Negeri 2 Lais has been carried out through routine and continuous activities of checking, maintaining, repairing, and supervising school facilities. Inspections are conducted to assess the condition of school facilities and detect damage early on. Maintenance is carried out through cleaning activities, organizing the school environment, and maintaining learning facilities to ensure they remain suitable for use. Repairs are made to facilities with both minor and major damage to ensure the learning process continues to run smoothly. Additionally, supervision is conducted to ensure that school facilities are used responsibly by the entire school community. The implementation of this maintenance of facilities and infrastructure has a positive impact on the comfort, safety, and smooth operation of the learning process at the school
