Abstract

The Full Day School program is implemented as an effort to improve educational quality, character building, and student skill development in vocational high schools. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, such as student fatigue, learning schedule management, and the need for effective school management. This study aims to analyze the management of the Full Day School program at SMK Negeri 6 Palembang based on the POAC management functions (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling). This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, vice principal, teachers, administrative staff, and students. The results showed that program planning was carried out systematically through the preparation of learning schedules, practical activities, character-building programs, and supporting facilities. Organizing was conducted through task distribution and coordination among school members. The implementation of the program was carried out through theoretical learning, vocational practice, religious activities, and extracurricular activities using various learning methods. Supervision was conducted regularly through monitoring learning activities, discipline, and program evaluation. Overall, the management of the Full Day School program at SMK Negeri 6 Palembang has been implemented effectively in supporting educational quality improvement and student character development.
