This study aims to describe teachers’ classroom management practices in improving student discipline at SMP Negeri 9 Palembang. Classroom management is a key factor in creating an effective, orderly, and conducive learning environment. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research focus refers to Jacob Kounin’s theory, which includes teachers’ attentiveness in managing the classroom, their ability to divide attention, the smoothness of learning, students’ concentration, and students’ responsibility in participating in learning. The results of the study indicate that teachers have made efforts to manage the classroom effectively through monitoring student activities, issuing reprimands, organizing the flow of learning, using interactive methods, and instilling a sense of responsibility in students. These efforts have led to improved student discipline in participating in the learning process in the classroom. Thus, the classroom management implemented by teachers plays a crucial role in creating an orderly, focused, and conducive learning environment at SMP Negeri 9 Palembang.
