Abstract

The holistic-integrative paradigm of knowledge emphasizes the interconnectedness between religious sciences and general sciences within the Islamic education system. This paradigm emerges as a strategic response to the challenges of globalization, technological advancement, and the increasing complexity of contemporary social life. Through the integration of Islamic values with modern scientific knowledge, Islamic educational institutions are expected to develop a balanced educational framework that nurtures intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and social competencies simultaneously. The reconstruction of institutional development is implemented through curriculum integration, strengthening the quality of human resources, improving governance systems, and adopting innovative educational management practices. Such efforts aim to transform Islamic educational institutions into adaptive, competitive, and sustainable centers of learning without neglecting their religious identity and moral foundations. Furthermore, the holistic-integrative approach encourages the creation of learning environments that promote critical thinking, ethical awareness, and social responsibility. Consequently, Islamic educational institutions are expected to produce graduates who possess academic excellence, strong moral character, spiritual maturity, and the capacity to contribute positively to society while addressing global challenges in a sustainable manner.
