Organizational change is an inevitable process because organizations must be able to adapt to a constantly changing environment. Technological advancements, policy changes, increased competition, and societal demands are factors that drive organizations to implement changes in order to ensure their sustainability and improve their performance. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of change within organizations, understand theories of organizational change, and identify various issues that arise during the organizational change process. The research employs a literature review (library research) method by collecting and analyzing various relevant sources, including books, scientific journals, research articles, and other documents. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis to gain a comprehensive understanding of organizational change. The findings indicate that organizational change is characterized by being dynamic, continuous, complex, and often met with resistance, and can occur both planned and unplanned. The study also indicates that Kurt Lewin’s theory of change, Kotter’s eight-step change theory, and Force Field Analysis can serve as a foundation for effectively managing organizational change. Additionally, common challenges that frequently arise in organizational change include resistance to change.
